Jerry Buttimer: Another gay TD
Jerry Buttmer, Fine Gael TD for Cork South Central, has come out as gay. I really should follow politics in my own country a bit more closely. All I can really say is that I’m not a fan of Fine Gael, but still, their response to this news is somewhat encouraging.

Users Don’t Read
Any program designer knows that users don’t read. How can you absolutely make sure that users actually know what they’re doing? Well, this isn’t an approach you’d want to take for everything in a program, but for rare destructive actions, such as deleting, it might work: ask the user to repeat the command.
